Orientation 2022 F.A.Q
What is New Student Orientation?
The mission of New Student Orientation is to create a positive educational and personal experience for new University of Alberta students.
Ultimately, the program will successfully aid in the transition of new students into university life and integrate them into the University of Alberta campus.
Why isn’t my faculty listed on the registration page?
- The faculties of Law and Medicine and Dentistry run their own student orientation programs and therefore students entering these programs do not attend Orientation.
- Augustana Faculty runs an orientation program at Augustana Campus in Camrose. For more information on this please click here.
Is attendance mandatory?
All new students are expected to attend. New Student Orientation is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and learn some of the ins and outs of campus life.
My Faculty, Residence, or other group is offering another orientation event, should I attend?
Certainly! We recommend exploring all of your options to learn about campus, and an orientation specific to your university experience could definitely prove helpful.
When will I find out more information about New Student Orientation?
Registered students will receive an email in late August indicating all information regarding schedule, times and other important information to your orientation experience.
When I click the registration link, it takes me to a website but redirects me to the main page. What do I do?
Make sure you've logged into the UASUevents Network (the portal you're registering with) using your CCID. Then try clicking the registration link.
