Hi there, my name is David and I’m running to be the Faculty of Law’s Student Councillor and General Faculties Councillor. My goal in running as Law’s representative to the Student Union is to advocate for students and their interests during their time at the University of Alberta. Our time at the university may be the most fun and knowledgeable experience in our lives but may also be a part of our lives which we have the most concerns for. As a representative, it will be my job to help you address these concerns and make the most of your university experience. The Students’ Council is the highest governing body of the Student Union at the University of Alberta. The role of the Council is to vote on matters which affect students such as expenses, support programs and financial aid. Therefore, it is important for students to have adequate representation within the Student Union in order to ensure that all student’s needs are met. I hope to contribute to the organization and address the issues faced not only by law students, but the university as a whole. Help me fight for your academic success by being your voice on campus, vote for David on March 21st!
