?Who We Are:

Dreamcatcherâ„¢ Nature Assisted Therapy is home to a variety of carefully selected and screened rescue farm animals that assist our team of Registered Psychologists/ Social Workers provide unique forms of therapy for those in our community.

Animal Care Role:

For Dreamcatcherâ„¢, our top priority is the ethical treatment and quality care for our animals; which is why we rely on a team of dedicated volunteers who can provide them with the highest standard of care that enhances their overall health and wellbeing.

As a volunteer, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring animals have food and water
- Cleaning animal enclosures and outdoor pens
-Collecting, candling, and washing eggs
- Administering supplements and medications as advised by veterinarians and staff
- Providing enrichment to the animals
- Assisting with extra animal duties such as, parasite control (deworming/delousing/FAMACHA scoring), trimming goat hooves and chicken talons, assisting as an animal handler during client sessions or at events, assisting with the farrier, sheep shearer, and veterinarian; etc.
-Monitoring and reporting of any signs of illness or injury of the animals

Dreamcatcherâ„¢ Nature-Assisted Therapy is looking for positive, enthusiastic, and fun individuals to harness their social skills and engage the public in new and exciting activities. In addition, if you have always wanted to work alongside animals but wanted to skip the hard work of caring for them, then our Recreation/Tourism position may be perfect for you!

Some activities we offer are Time on the Land, Tourism, Animal Yoga, Forest Bathing & more! Our events are usually hosted on the weekends (Sat/Sun) and shifts are usually from 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Duties may include:
- Providing hands-on animal tours for our visitors
- Helping with setting up and tearing down the events
- Managing the market booth stand
- Animal handling for animal yoga
- Ensuring all guests are interacting safely with the animals
- Helping with decorating the magical forest trails
