Calling all lovers of literacy! We're seeking a volunteer to support our staff in our online family literacy programs.
Our family programs use stories, games, and songs to develop early literacy skills. Program sessions are led by a staff facilitator, while volunteer co-facilitators manage the backend by taking attendance, monitoring the chat, and un/muting families when it's their turn to speak. Co-facilitators are also welcome (but not required) to get more involved by sharing a song or story in the program!
COMMITMENT
Volunteers will participate in either our Supper Time Story Time (StSt) OR our Multicultural Rhymes that Bind (MRtB) program. Each program is 30 minutes long and we ask co-facilitators to arrive 15 minutes early to discuss the day's plan with the staff facilitator.
StSt runs on Wednesday evenings at 6pm from January 11th to March 22nd.
MRtB runs on Friday mornings at 9:30am from January 13th to March 24th.
