Volunteering
Volunteering with Safewalk is extremely rewarding. We offer flexible shifts that volunteers can choose on a weekly basis. It is a three hour per week commitment, and all shifts are in the evenings.
Safewalk is a great way to meet new people and get experience for your resume, as well as get involved in the community. It's also an awesome study break and a good way to get some exercise if your prefer patrolling options (one Safewalk shift can burn about 800 calories!). Safewalk also believes that no one should walk home alone, so when you're done your shift, we will make sure that you get home safely (a Safewalk team or a taxi will take you home).
Anyone is welcome to volunteer in Safewalk, no matter your size, gender, ethnicity, and background. Safewalk also believes in strength in numbers, so you don't have to be big/strong to volunteer with us!.

Administration
Safewalk is run by one staff member, who is the chair of the Safewalk Advisory Team (SWAT), which is made up of senior volunteers who make decisions about the service throughout the year.
