Hello colleagues, Many of you may know me as the red headed guy, or the loud guy, but there is much more to me than just that. For example, I grew up on a farm in northern Alberta, where I participated in multiple organizations. Before starting pharmacy school, I completed two years of undergrad at the U of A Augustana Campus. In my second year at Augustana I worked with Vik’s crew, which is the organization that sets up all of the varsity sports events. Being a part of the Vik’s crew gave me the opportunity to take on leadership roles, and I learned how to manage my time, and delegate effectively to complete tasks. In pharmacy, I have been an active member of APSA, participating and performing at many events. As well, I was part of the Pharm vs. Dent Hockey Game organization committee, which successfully brought back the event. By working with, and engraining myself in the culture of APSA, I believe I have gained a strong understanding of APSA’s values. My strong and passionate personality is an advantage because I will not be afraid to voice your opinions in front of the Student Union council or the general faculties council. My Platform runs on 3 main pillars; Transparency, Advocacy, Strength
Due to space limitations I cannot explain on my pillars, but I will be speaking in to all pharmacy classes, and if you have question you can stop me in the halls or email me at jwowk@ualberta.ca
