Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Committee Recommendations
In the 2018-2019 academic year, the Aboriginal Relations & Reconciliation Committee produced a comprehensive list of recommendations to the Students' Union. These recommendations, if followed, will contribute to reconciliation efforts by the Students' Union and on campus. The report includes 57 recommendations that fall into four categories: Advocacy, Education, Operational, and Students’ Council.

In Winter 2023, supplementary recommendations emerged from ARRC's discussions. These recommendations and associated implementation notes took several forms as Indigenous students and other stakeholders shared their perspectives on the proposals. Each page of this tracker includes the final directives/action items adopted by Students' Council with ARRC's guidance, labeled 'April 2023' to distinguish these items from the original ARRC Recommendations.

The FNMI Specialist will engage with these organizations to find appropriate volunteer opportunities, and these opportunities will also be made available to all staff. Sufficient staff resources will be made available to coordinate volunteering, and accommodations will be made to allow staff to volunteer. The FNMI Specialist will coordinate these opportunities towards the end of the Winter Semester to be undertaken during the Spring/Summer Semesters and the following academic year.
