2025 Municipal Elections

What you need to know about the 2025 municipal elections.

Both Edmonton and Camrose have their
Election Day on October 20, 2025.

Edmonton

Student organizations across Edmonton are working to bring forward the most pressing student priorities, touching on transit, housing, and many other aspects of our day-to-day lives.

This year, Edmonton has over 660,000 registered voters…and over 100,000 post-secondary students. Edmonton's student-aged population is growing rapidly and will keep growing. Your vote genuinely matters.

Our nonpartisan goal is to make sure all candidates for Mayor and City Council prioritize the issues that have a disproportionate impact on your lives.

Am I eligible to vote in Edmonton?

You can vote if you are a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of Edmonton.

If you did not register to vote by August 15, 2025, you can still register or update your information at your assigned voting station during advance voting (October 7-11) or Election Day (October 20), or through a special ballot.

Voter registration should take less than five minutes to complete!

Camrose

Augustana students! The City of Camrose has an all-in-one Information for Voters page to help you determine if you're eligible and how to vote. If there are priorities you want to put forward, talk to the Augustana Students' Association and the UASU's VP External!
